Miss Nova over at Forgotten Paper Airplanes (her blog is awesome. I love it) is starting a new weekly linkup...I'll let her explain it:

So, my pictures, (thought included free of charge)

Atticus Finch, you never cease to make me smile. I even named my lamp after him. (I name everything). It is a green Banker's lamp...(Like THIS one). The moment I got it, I thought, "This looks like a lamp A Lawyer would use..." It got the name 'My Atticus Lamp'.

NOVA! Isn't Tom's eyes normally blue, however? He must be wearing contact, or something.

No comment. (My brother, Zeb asks who he is, I said, "Loki. He's a bad guy". Zeb: "Duh. All bad guys look cool")

You wont believe how many times I've said this. Half hoping blue fire will come out of my palm. It doesn't work. I need a Rider Tattoo on my palm first...

I haven't watched the Eragon movie...yet...but I think they matched the actor up PERFECTLY with the character. This, is so Durza. The only difference that I feel that is kinda big...is Shades have Maroon eyes. Not light blue. Light Blue looks good on Durza, however.

Me and Hannah W. (who is a little less then a year older then me. She is 16, and I'm about to be 16) talked about loads of things.

Books, reviewing, books, Wild West Bandits, Books, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Books, her married Siblings, book.

You get the pattern, right?

I'm sad that we have to wait a full year until we can see them again...but at least I gave Hannah my email address..and I friended her on FaceBook..so..maybe the year will pass quickly.

This Sunday, we had fun. Obviously. But, I am now greatly pained...which I will come to later.

The bike trail (I nearly spelled it Trial...which would be appropriate enough) really was pretty. There were two bridges we crossed, and this one was over a not dried up creek. I begged Tweedledee and Tweedledum to stop so I could take pictures. I'm sure having a photographer for a sister is a pain in the butt.

Well, maybe it's not, Zeb (one of the Tweedle brothers of mine) doesn't seem to bothered.

Notice, me and Evan and Zeb are alone? No, I didn't drive us, sadly. We wanted to start at the beginning of the trail, and the parents and littles planned to start at a park little less then half way through. They dropped us off at the starting point, and we fended for ourselves. We had to fight Shades while we rode on Dragon's back (Eragon, anyone? I plan to do an Eragon post later...). What I said about Shades and Dragons is an elaborate lie. Pay no heed to such nonsense unless it is real. All we had to do was watch out when crossing roads. at first, the roads weren't very crowded, but as we got closer to town, and it got closer to Lunch times, crossing got a little more difficult. Almost like the Magical Shades were working against us...

I think, they were talking about...funny stuff. We talked about so much nonsense (Dragons, Shades, alternate realities) I truly can't remember it all.

Evan insisted at stopping at this fitness station. and he nearly brought it down. There was SEVERE termite damage to the wood, and it was creaky at best.

Like my outfit? I started out with a jacket (which was my Mom's and much to big for me, but matched perfectly, so I didn't care). But after 30 minuets, it got a little hot. So, I used it as a belt. And tucked my water bottle in it. Also, when riding, I kept my Camera strap on my shoulder, but tucked the camera itself into the jacket 'belt' to protect it from wind/handlebars/swinging.

After we had met up with Parents and little peeps, we rode a bit more, then turned around, and stopped at this local restaurant called 'Main Street Station'. At first, we were only going to get Ice cream (it's the only place, except McD's and Burger King that sells Ice cream *IN WAFFLE CONES!!!* in our small Radiator Springs town). But after riding bikes for nearly 2 hours, we were STARVING. I had grilled shrimp on a Garden Salad, which was really good. Did you notice? I had a good workout, then ate healthy?

Shiloh was happy to be just anywhere.

Now, on to the pains. I am NOT in shape. I'm so out of it, it's embarrassing. "Jim, I'm a writer, not a athlete!" ( I started out good, I kept up with my in-better-shape brothers, but then, the going got tough. Before we headed back (we older ones had went ahead of the Parents and Littles), I nearly passed out from lack of Oxygen. It was bad. I had to stop, and sit down (in the gravely dirt) beside the trail, while my brothers looked worriedly on.

"Are you ok?"
"Do we need to slow down for you?"

Yes, please for the sake of all sanity, slow down!

Well, once we got to Main Street Station, I discovered (when I sat down at the table) another, more difficult and dainty, matter.

Do any of my readers know what happens if a person (who is not used to it) is in the saddle all day? Yes, you get saddle sore on the other end.
Do you know what happens when you haven't ridden a bike for any knowledgeable time spans then suddenly ride for nearly 2 hours? While getting on and off, on and off to cross roads?
I'll leave you to think on what I am going through right now.
I am reminded just how out of shape I am each and every time I sit down, change position while sitting down, or run.

So, moving on.
After lunch at the MS Station, we went home, and got ready for church. A singing group that we REALLY liked were coming to a church which we had stopped attending about a year or so ago. Are any of you thinking, awkward reunion?
ANyway, we braved the mass, and went to the Church, got a little cold water tossed on us (Hypothetical) but we were mostly greeted back with love. There was one family...

*mumbles* whoireallydontlikeandtheylikewise,andifindthemapaininthebutt,worsethencarbuncles....

Which isn't at all nice of me...but, I was in pain from my bike ride, and my seat hurt. like, bad. So...I had an excuse.

The singing was great, and My Dad talked to the Dad of their family, and we got it worked out that they will be coming tomorrow!! For dinner!!! We shall have a party (and that familywhoimentionabove is not invited lol)!!!

Tomorrow is going to be fun.

ANYWHO.

When we left the church, my throat was hurting, and I somehow decided that it was due to riding a bike all day. Please don't ask how I got to that thought...I was tired, and in pain from the seat up... so, my thoughts weren't to rational or Logical for that matter.

I woke up this morning, and the throat still hurts. I think I have a throat cold or something....but it should be gone by tomorrow. It hurts like fire at times, but eating strawberries helps. Really, strawberries and sugar helps sore throats. Forget the honey jibberjabber.

So, there was my epic Sunday.

Phantom

I checked out the book last Thursday. I finish the book on Friday. I loved the book from chapter 2 on. I loved The Phantom since the first letter. I cried for him as I finished the book. I cried, for his broken heart, yet the little bit of good that showed. Erik isn't all bad. He is just unloved, and lonely. He gave up Christine for her own happiness. The poor man, with not even a last name. Just, Opera Ghost. Just Phantom. Just Erik. Just poor poor Erik.

Written in prettier times, when the Opera thrived. When the Theatre was the social place, not the mall. When ladies wore gowns, and Gentlemen wore suits and swords. Oh! What would I do, just to step back in time!

Raoul was wonderful in his own right. Not the same in my heart as Erik, but, he was ok. However, I really don't see what Christine saw in him. Yeah, he is a rich Viscount, He was 'nice', but he was also a love sick puppy. Maybe thats what Christine loved so much. His dogged love for her even willing to rescue Christine when my big bad Erik had her. (Notice, I said MY?)

I have asked myself, Why do I prefer Erik over the hero Raoul?

I think it is becasue of two reasons:

1) I always tend to like the melancholy, lonely, guys in novels/Books. And guess what? Those sorts are always the bad ones.

and

2) I pity him. Whats not to pity? This poor, poor guy! His Father left him when Erik's Mother when their 'demon' was born. And his Mother was terrified of him. Never allowing him to love her, or be loved by her. then, he signed up for a Circus, being a freak show, "THE LIVING SKELETON!".

And, when he left the circus tent life, he wasn't ever loved for who he was, but always was a source of interest. Erik never was loved, or could love anyone. Naturally, when Christine Daae showed even the slightest bit of favor towards him (She hadn't seen him yet, either), he jumped at the once in a lifetime chance to be loved. Lo, however. It wasn't to be.

Erik, was never fully normal.

(Note, all these details might not be the movie. Gerard Butler is a much handsomer Erik then the book portrayed.)

Raoul, however, was petted and loved all his life. Why should we feel like he needs our love and favour? No. I have given my preference to Erik. And he shall keep it.

I giveth thee my devotion, oh Erik. Here is my heart, thou might keep it, forever!

My day has been a not very glamorous one, I've spent a good time sewing, and teaching my Mom how to use Polyvore, she catches on pretty quick! I showed her some on my outfits I'd put together and she said, "YOU did those?!". Proud Mother's rock. Would you like to see my faves?

So, I've been slightly busy on Polyvore, which is an awesome site, BTW.

I've done little writing, however, it was NOT my fault. I ~~lost~~ momentarily set aside in an unknown place my notebook with my currant novel. However, yesterday morning, one of my sisters found it. Bless her little 'eart! Hopefully I can finish typing up chapter one, and sending it to my lovely friends who double up as proof readers tonight!

I've been keeping pace on my 365...Oh, y'all didn't know about it? Well, I will have to fix that here and now! You can go HERE to view my account at the official website, but I also post the pictures on my photography blog once a week, and when I do, I put them on my Photography Facebook page.
But I have been faithful to 365, and I am totally LOVING it! I didn't know how I'd like this arrangement, ya know, HAVING to take a picture a day, but I've been persuaded. This program ROCKS! And, ya know, you don't have to start Jan. first, one of my friends (I follow her on the 365 site, she is JustPeechyKeen) she started in December. So, you can start whenever you so like. I just started on the new Year, because I'm OCD, and couldn't live with the off balance of NOT starting then.

I'm drinking Warm tea right now. Heaven.

Ya know, I think there are two things I need to get into.
1) The Hunger Games.
My library has the first two books, and they are NOT on hold (However, Joanna, you move one finger towards them...and I'll reserve them! *evil laugh)! I'm hoping to get them before to long! Then, if I simply go crazy and love them, I'll pester my parents into watching the movie!

2) Dr. Who. I've heard so many great things, but the one episode I half watched was...less then great. One of my friends (Kayla) says we must be watching the wrong Doctor...Who's out there...What is the best Dr. in your opinion? Because unless y'all can convince me it gets better, I'll stick with MY Holographic Doctor from Star Trek.

You know what, make that three things, as I think there is a third.

3) Sherlock Holmes BBC.
I know, Joanna, He and Watson shouldn't have even KNOWN about each other then, and it is all screwy, but I might be able, if it is good, to set aside by prejudice, and watch them. It seems so FUNNY, and well...Funny Sherlock stuff just can't be beat.

A matter of Tea.

I think I'm going British on myself!
Used to be, I was a total Southern Gal, Sweet iced tea, preferably Peach.
Now? Oh, dear, I do believe I'm changing!

For dinner tonight I 1) Put NO ICE in my tea. Hot, My dear, warm and soothing! And, 2) thought it much to sweet.

Oh bother me, Am I going British on myself? Not that I'd much mind that, (Dear self, could you please make me have an accent now? Sincerely, yourself.),

Amazing, isn't it? The way Tea is held up. In Old Southern rings, we drank Tea or lemonade, and in the British circles, Well, they drank Tea. and Tea. And more Tea. They practically LIVED on Tea. Not a bad idea, actually. How would you like a daily Tea Time with crumpets? I'd rather enjoy it, I think.

It strikes me, time and time again, just how breathtakingly beautiful the Song, 'Loch Lomond' is. Nearly brings tears to my eyes. A young man, in love, writing a poetic farewell to his sweetheart. I wonder, what happened to the girl?

It amazes me, how strong some people are, yet how feeble and weak our hearts are.

We yearn for a true love. We reach out to those who could die, those who could leave us broken.

God gave us a strong organ, without it, We'd die. But, on a emotional manner, our hearts are feeble, dainty and easily broken. Look at our songs...:"Runaround Sue". "Loch Lomond". "Hallelujah".

How feeble! Sometimes, I wonder, do I really want to entrust my heart to a mortal? Do I want to give some guy my love?

Today, I was taking some pictures of my 8 siblings for a calander from Vistaprint. At the end of the year, Mama likes to get a calander with all of us on it. So, thus, we need Horizontal pictures, photography style. Lets just say, I didn't much like that arrangement.
Don't get me wrong, I love photography, but today was a horrid day for my beloved sport, too sunny. Would it shock you much if I said I simple LOVE overcast days? Well, I do. Go ahead, fall over in shock. Miss FL girl hates sunny days. I get it, Idiotic, I know.
back to the story. I TOLD you I have rambling problems!
TO make it worse, Mama needed pictures of me. *que nightmare music* I HATE pictures of me. I haven't gone to a counselor to find out why, I just can't stand it. (Maybe thats why I'm a photography, subconscience way to stay OUT of picutures? Hmm...).
I wasn't in the nice, "See the birdy!" Mood, more like, "Kill the birdy, yes, this is a fake smile, but I'm holding it" Mood. So, I go to download the pictures, and upload them to Vistaprint (Calander place).

Can I have some more nightmare music? Yes, thank you.

They're too small. 640x480, to be exact. Much to small. Normally, I keep my pictures sized at a wopping great 4 thousand somthun, but these were way to small to use for a calander. Great, just what I needed.

Lets just say, I acted a bit like an angry B'Elanna right then. Stormed off so no one needed to be around me in a foulest of foul moods, as I can be a ver hard person to like in such a moment, and slammed books around a bit (shows just how ~~angry~~ frusterated I was, potentially harming book in such a way) and wrote about one of my characters being angry and fighting an enemy. Amazing, write your emotions into a character, and you'll feel much better.

I have a hidden Klingon inside of me. One that surfaces when I least want her to. My personal Klingon is named 'Anger'. I wont sugar coat it by calling it 'frusteration' or 'aggravation'. It is Anger. When I get angry, I resort to having to purge myself by doing something 'physical' (AKA, throwing balled up peices of paper, slamming books, punching pillows). I try to hide my klingon, and stow her away, try to cover her with my good human half. But, maybe like B'Elanna, without her, I'm not complete, I need a bit of that pep and fire, just not always, and only when it isn't spurred on by selfishness.

What I did today

I spent a good part of my day in the kitchen today. And, if you know me AT ALL, you will know that staying in the kitchen isn't really my dream job. However, for the most part, I behaved like a good girl. For the most part. I mean, who doesn't freak out and loose their heads when a pot is bubbling over, smoke is dense as smoke, the smoke detector isn't helping calm your nerves, and your little sisters are asking if you caught the house on fire? All the while, you're thinking, "My Dad is going to kill me" (I'm a firefighter's daughter....Smoke and fire don't mix well with Daddy, and honestly, me neither...Do they, Joanna? Inside joke, sorry.)

So, but you get the point, that for a wee bit, there was some fiasco, but, not for most of it. Finished project?

One is clear, the other has berry/fruit pieces in it. This is the second time I've made Mayhaw jelly, and I don't know whether they are fruit or berries...Somefin's wrong with me. Or, I just don't care. Which is the likely cause.

"WHY" you are probably wondering, "Is the jar upside down?" Elementary My Dear Watson (I really do use that phrase as often as possible) You have to let the jars seal that way. Ya know how store bought jars are sealed with the 'if seal is broken, do not eat because a terrorist might have poisoned this jar of normally fine food'? Well, even though I know there are no terrorists in our home, the seal helps can the food! Otherwise, it would just be a jar of rotting jelly in our pantry.

No, really, it would rot. Mold, mildew..probably a roach or two...you get the point.

So, upside down she goes to seal, then once it is sealed, I tip'er right side up!

So, there is my well spent day. Maybe not happily spent, but we can't always be happy, can we? And, since Shiloh is clingy to Mama right now, I HAD to do it before our Mayhaws went bad. And, if you didn't know, You just can't buy Mayhaws at Walmart, and they certainly don't have cheap prices attached to them. So, there ya have it. Those 10 jars will probably get us a month or two. Then....we will have to...It'll be winter, so we'll have to buy that nasty Grape jelly. Bleck.

In case anybody wants it, here is our Mayhaw Jelly recipe:

MAYHAW JELLY

4 c. juice
1 box pectin
5 c. sugar

TO PREPARE JUICE: Sort and wash fully ripe Mayhaw. Crush fruit, add water, cover, and bring to a boil on high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Extract juice.

TO MAKE JELLY: Measure juice into a kettle. Bring to a boil, add pectin and stir well. Bring back to a full rolling boil that cannot be stirred down. Add sugar, continue stirring, and heat again to a full rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minute.

Remove from heat; skim off foam quickly. Pour jelly immediately into hot sterile canning jars to 1/4 inch from top. Seal and process 5 minutes in a boiling water bath. Makes 6 (1/2 pint) jars

I've been reading the Redwall series by Brian Jacques, and LOVING them. yes, loving in caps.

I love the Rabbits, Honorable (Hon, for short) Rosie, Who always laughs deafeningly; Basil Stag, named himself Stag because stags are such wonderful creatures; Torque, who is always singing ballads, and loves Hon Rosie with all his big heart; Brigadier Thyme, Wot wot!; and all the rest of Salamandstron's long Patrol. Who can't help but love Warrior Rabbits?

The Moles. Ah, they stole moi heart away first off. They're strange way of talking, ah, makes me smile every time. I would repeat it for you, but I just can't do it justice!

And, THE Badgers. those wonderful creatures. Lords of Salamondstron, Caretakers, Wise ones. Leaders, Warriors, and powerfully strong. If you find a creature daring to go hand to hand against a Badger, he is a sure to die fool. Boar the Fighter, Bella of Brockhall, Mother Mellus (The big hearted, and stern Mother to all), Sunflash the Mace, All of them. I love them. The Badgers make the book 100% better. Without them, a whole lot of fire and adventure wouldn't be there. Of course, without Martin the Warrior, who has a mouse, there'd be no story at all.

Oh, our great Mice of Redwall Abbey. Most are kind hearted, helpfull, and gentle animals. But, you will get some.... Dandin, Mathias...and surely more that I haven't yet come too.

Most of them, however, are like this docile fella below:

A gentle Brother, Abbot (or sister or Abbess!).

Oh, I wish I could go to Mossflower Wood. I'd hug a Mouse, Talk and eat with a Mole (did I mention, if there is one thing Mole's like better'n diggun, its uh eatun? Thats mole language, BTW.), Admire a Badger, fight a Rat, Weasel, Stoat, Wildcat, Ferret or Fox, Hold Martin's famed sword, Laugh with a Rabbit, Wot Wot! I've been practicing my Rabbit talk, ya see. I think I can 'Wot Wot' nearly as well as Brigadier Thyme. Yes, oh, yes. Redwall Abbey would be such a restful place!!

Mr. Jacques, I know your dead, I wish I could've gotten addicted before you died, but thank you. You are a masterpeice writer, an epic storyteller, a stringer of wonderful yarns, and a legend in your self.

I live in the country.

We own chickens, and Guineas. I name as many birds as I can. Like, we have a LaForge, Ro, Leah, Cleopatra, Nefitirie, Woody, Blue~eyes, Red, Lacey and Dimi.

We know our Mail man pretty well, and instead of the girls saying, "Mail's here!" they say, "Mr. Ben's here!".

Life is everywhere. Hawks bugs,, Bald Eagles, Bugs, fish, bugs, snakes, bugs, toads, bugs, bull frogs, bugs, lizards, bugs, Wild pigs, bugs, Deer, bugs, Bears, bugs, Wild Cats, Bug, Coyotes, Bugs.

This particular nest was an Eastern Bluebird nest. We suffered much from the parents. This was a Risky business taking a picture of this nest and its 4 eggs. Later, a snake ate all of them. Its life.

We normally have a garden. Tomatoes, Corn, Beans, Squash, Okra, Potatoes, and the like.

Spider webs. Which are ok, as long as they don't get in my way when hiking. I swear, there after me.

Flowers are everywhere. Literally.

Most of our chores are in the form of animal feeding.

And life is slower. We know many people in our small, 'Radiator springs' town. Music even plays through the town if your near Alco! Most people don't shop at Walmart, but Piggly Wiggly, where everybody's cousin works. The fire department's directions are: "Theres a fire in the old barn that is beside where Aunt Milly lives". When you have a garage sale, you have repeat customers. Almost everybody lives on a dirt road, and it shows by the red or white silt covering your car. And, if you don't live in a trailer, you certainly have before.

Yes, I live in the country.

You know where I also want to go? Scotland. How much would passage THERE cost? I'm quite sure it would be cheaper then a 'quick' flight to Vulcan.

I'm gonna learn to play the flute. In about 2 months. Maybe. I'm excited, but afraid too. I don't pick up as quick with music as with my other studies. So, I'll be crossing my fingers, and praying! Hard.

Sometimes, do you feel like you want to do something, but just can't figure out what? I hate it when that happens. Cuz, most likely, I'll end up laying around, doing absolutely nuthin'. I suppose this would be called, 'bored'. Ugh. I just want to do SOMETHING. Maybe, these times would be a good time to clean up my sewing desk before my Mom kills me. Or, to finish my sewing project. Or, to deep clean my room. Or, to do some other thing I hate doing.

And, update on Ethan W. I think they will be coming home this week! This family has gone through SO much. And their little boy is, as you can see, super cute! Despite all the cords that Borgize him. Poor fella. Keep them in your prayers, PLEASE. This has been such a long haul for them, and I'm sure home is sounding really good right now!

Finn McMissile. British intelligence. The most awesome car outside of Transformers, who, really aren't cars ANYWAY. but happen to look like'em. Finn, Oh, I want to have a car like Finn! Rockets, guns, Submarine, Camera, British voice...ok, so maybe I wont get the voice. UNLESS I get my GPS to have a Finn voice. If at all possible to do such a wonderful thing!

Holly is amazing too. I wouldn't mind having a {purple} flying car!

The main characters, outside of Miles Axlerod. I never suspected him. Neva. eva eva. Goes to show the Detective I am!

Ok, Car envy. Bummer we only get, what, 5 minuets TOPS with Torque!

Francesco is cool. And his accent is neat. He is kinda, uh, puffed up? He deserved to lose a few races. But, I like him. In a I'm-still-with-Lightning way.

If I'm ever rich, I'll buy me an airplane, and name it Siddeley.

And Mater. Oh, he is so priceless. I laughed SO MUCH becuase of him. The Avocado icecream...{snicker}...The "Oh, shoot!"....the everything he did!

Oh my. Don't worry, I haven't gone past the loop of no return. Yes, I think I might just have fallen in 'love' with a fictional character, that ALSO happens to be a car, (maybe I have got Cuckoos in my head...) BUT. I like to think it just another case of Fangirl. A few ahs, and ohs, a few squeals, and another thing to fangirl over in Finn's place will cure me. At least, of Finnlove.

Cars 2, was awesome. But, without Finn, it would be blah.

And, I plan on marrying someone with a British accent, and that would mean, marrying a Brit! {Swoon!}

Oh, I'd thought you all might like to know, But I am know the proud owner of a car! No, not a Finn, a Holly, a McQueen, or a Torque. More like a lemon. But, it is the sweetest lemon you've (I've) ever laid eyes on, cuz she is mine! Sorta....I've still got payments to make...BUT. No matter, she is sitting in the yard, cute as can be, and is my love. So, thought you might like to be given that bit O knowledge, and it seemed to go with this post beautifully!

Someday, I shall own a Finn. And he will have all those awesome gadjets, and sit in my garage next to Bumblebee, My Thunderbird, and my VW bug, and VW bus. Quite a cache I'll have, no?

Thank you to everyone for the prayers and support. We can truly feel the strength from here. K is doing well today. She is a bit tired but that is to be expected.

Ethan is showing imporovement today as well.:) The swelling in his body is noticably down today, and he was able to come off the ventalator last night. So far so good. He is breathing well on his own with only a small amout of support from a nazal canular. He has an MRI of the brain today. please pray that this and his EEG come back normal. This WILL be a major victory for us and him.

We will continue to update as we know more

Some good friends of ours, Kyndal and Phillip W. have just had their first little baby. Sadly, things aren't going so great for little Ethan. We has some sort infection that started in his lungs, and spread to his brain. If you could pray for the W. family, it would be greatly appreciated!!

My {packed} weekend

This Saturday we were BBQ vendors at a local festival. We did kinda bad on the selling side, but on the learning experiance (this was our first fest of this size) can't be traded. Here are some pictures of the 'gala'.

Ever wonder what it looks like BEFORE you get to the tiny tent shops at festivals and fairs? I can tell you, like a Gypsy camp. Our tent had string lights all around the top, making it look quite, gypsy, if you don't mind,

PIGS! There was a pig chase (greased, pig chase, really) and these are just two of the many poor piglets who first get greased and chased before the day is over. Poor little things.

Goatie eye. I love goats. Like, love goats as I would own as many as a yard could hold. They are the sweetest animals, and MUCH more smarter then cows. I can't stand cows. Or, at least bulls...bad memory there...

One of the booths we visited. This was an foster/adoption awareness booth, and they had free candy and coloring for kids. Shauna, Kyla, AnnaRuth and Ruby all enjoyed the acorn coloring sheets, but Titus just wanted the candy. ☺

Free balloons from an insurance agency booth. They were giving out balloons to kids, and info to adults. I'd much rather be a kid.

Titus with his third piece of candy. At this point, he was hopelessly sticky.

The highlight of Titus' day. Some people were just going around dressed as Woody, Buzz, Cowgirl Jesse, and Spider man. Titus kept asking me, "Go see sheriff 'oody!". So, once the other fans had slowed down a bit, I grabbed Titus, and snapped a picture of him and his 'oody'. Titus was thrilled, and did better then my Evan did with Santa Clause...{cough cough}, lets just say, Evan wasn't as happy as Titus was, to put it plainly...

So, Saturday was fun, I bought a scentsy bar for my pot, and it is now scenting up the house tropically. And got a pink cross necklace, which I got reduced from $10, to $5. It is ALWAYS best to shop right before the vendors pack up. They'll cut you awesome deals. Shauna participated in a Chicken chase, where, unknown to us, the prize was keeping the bird you caught. Great. So, now we- to say, Shauna- is the proud new owner of a gorgeous banty Rooster, named LaForge. Guess where we got his name?

Bingo! You got it right, From Geordie Laforge, Chief Engineer on the Enterprise!
We put one of our hens in his cage, and now must find her a name as well that goes with Laforge's...Ro?...Larren?...Leah?...OH! Guinan!? I dunno...must think longer.

Then, on Sunday, we visited our friend's home church as one of their boys were getting baptized.

Since their church doesn't have a true 'pastor' Josh's Dad baptized him. I think that is awesome. How many of you readers got baptized by your Dad?

It was such a good Sunday. I LOVED the home church, and the way it flowed. It was so open. All the men led, and read from their Bibles. It wasn't like normal churches were you sit like cows, and listen to the one Preacher talk.

After the baptismal, and service, we fellow shipped. Which means, Eat lunch (Tamar, I really liked the fish you cooked!!), Talk a bit. Listen to Caleb's bass speakers play the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song, (which sounded AWESOME), Watch your brothers box, and hike about a mile down the creek, getting sopping wet in your jeans, and being wet after wards because you didn't bring extra clothes. But it was fun. We visited an old Whiskey Still, and collected a few cool looking bottles, got bit by floating ants, Planned to set up a cabin lodge down the creek, and name it 'Diamond Creek' or 'The Village of Villy Age". And rode back in your bestie's Mustang (Car, not horse). It was an AWESOME weekend. It was jam packed full of fun, and...more fun. I was thoroughly tired by Monday, but what is some lost sleep when you're having a blast? ☺

Last night we watched the Star Trek Episode, 'I, Borg'. Man, what a sad one!! And now, I completely love the borg. Not like I didn't before. {laugh}. I mean, who can resist...wait...."Resistance is futile" They say so themselves.

Poor Hugh. He was almost human, but he returned to the Borg Hive so that His Goerdie could live without being assimilated. :-'(. Best Borg ever. I'm gonna make his picture my profile pic...somewhere...maybe Pinterest. Lol

Part Human, but mostly Machine. Scary.

I think the Borg are just awesome. ACTUALLY, me and my brothers (who equally think borgs are great) have worked up a flash mob of sorts. We will go into wal-mart dressed like Borg, walk up to random people and say, (in mechanical voice) "We are the Borg. Resistance is futile. Prepare to be Assimilated". THAT will freak some people out, and some people will just go, "Huh? Am I on Tv?" Which, will still be funny. Hard part for us, will be to not smile, laugh or show any facial expressions. Hard beans there.

So, who plans on Borging with us?

Learn to LET GO.

I really don't know where to start.
I had the BEST friend. I thought. We were like two peas in a pod. I thought. Inseparable. I thought. You could never say one of our names, without saying the others. I thought. We were silly with each other, we could quote movies fore and aft. Things happened. The very people we thought were our friends were the ones telling falsehoods about us, and harming our hearts. I never thought they could, or would do such a thing. It hurt like fire. I burned with anger. How could they, who knew we had no one else, do such a thing?
I cried, I screamed inside. I wanted to give them a piece of my raging mind.

I cried. and cried. Then, hardened. Which isn't not letting go or forgiving. It is just bottling up the emotion, just binding it, and pushing it in a dark corner of your mind. It can re fester whenever you please to unwrap the twine.

It has been about a year since we separated. And I thought I had it under control. I thought I was no longer hurting. I've got a new BF who is better than anything I could've wished for. Really, she is GREAT. But, today, the old hurt reearthed. I feel like they (meaning our exfriends) our trying to steal away those who liked us before. Filling them with falsehoods about us, and about others. And it hurts to watch people being deceived. Where is this pain and trouble getting me? Nowhere.

I need to let go. To close my eyes. To clear my heart of that pain, of that anger, of that sadness. Because it is getting me nowhere.

I have enough drama in my life. I have enough worries. You know, the only way people are going to learn that gossipers are gossipers and that they REALLY hurt, is to feel it themselves. If you had told me that the people I trusted would hurt me someday, I would have laughed. I CAN'T warn them. All I can do is help them regain their feet afterward.

I can't help others, if I'm still bitter. I can't help them heal if my thoughts are in a, 'I told ya so' way. I need to Let God help them now. There is NOTHING I CAN DO. Nothing. I need to drop it, and move on. I need to let go.

And, I need to forgive. Forgiving means to forget, and while the pain while probably always be there, I need to throw my bundle of anger in the fire. My anger is not hurting them, but me. I'm the one that feels the burn. If they were to come up to us right now and say, "I'm so sorry, please, can you forgive us?" I want to say, "I already have". One day, we'll both be in heaven, I still think they are Christians, despite it all. And when we're in heaven, I don't want to think back on how silly I was to hold a grudge. I want to think back, smile, and give them a huge bear hug.

So, M.E.L, If you are reading this, as I know you do, I know you wont comment, I know you think I'm a backslider because I don't wear just skirts and dresses, I don't wear a head covering. I wear jeans and makeup. I know you probably scorn me. I don't care anymore. I'm not letting that bother my life anymore. I don't hate you. And, honestly, if I were near you, I'd hug you. See, it even looks like me and you up there ^. Only, I'd be the taller one. For some reason, I always have shorter friends. M, I love you.

I thought I'd do this, as just about EVERYONE else is, and it looks fun. PLUS, you readers can get to know me a little better!

B. Bed size: Twin. Not to big, not to small. I'd get lost in a big bed.

C. Chore that you hate: Hmm...I'm odd in the way I really don't mind washing dishes or folding clothes (gives me time to plot out stories or fix character problems). The least favorite chore would probably be cleaning bathrooms. Especially when you have two brothers....{shudder}. Need I say more?

D. Dogs: One. A bouncy, super hyper, over the top Jack Russel named Ella.

Jane Austen's Emma.I have delved into the world of Austen-ness. Lets see how I fare.

I just finished 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'. Not at all what I expected. I had always thought (from what I heard) that C.S Lewis had written a masterpiece, but I feel jibbed. The book felt young and like a trifle, it just didn't meet my par. Was I expecting to much?

A country at Half Mast today.

We went to town today. All the flags about were at half mast, we are a country mourning and remembering the loss.

But today, the thing that stuck out at me, was the firefighter.

The Heroes.

So many brave men went in there, so many knew they would not come out. But in they went.

We watched a documentary today, and one of the firefighters that survived said, "We shook each others hands, said our goodbyes, then went in". I know, I don't think I could've done that.

And for the note, that firefighter was the only one to get out alive.

I almost came to tears, the families torn apart. Not just the heroes, but the ones trapped, the ones who jumped, the ones who never did get out. I could almost feel their pain, yet, I couldn't.

Today is a sad day for every American, but even more so, for those who lost beloveds there.

So, so sad.

You think a mixer would be safe

I was left babysitting my 5 younger siblings. Which is totally fine. Mama, Daddy, Evan, Zeb and Shiloh were out in town, so I was left, happily, babysitting. At first, we played Monopoly, I won. It isn't hard to win when you are playing against 4, 6, 7 and 9 year olds. Than, they decided they wanted to make a cake. Ok, fine. We ate Dinner, than cleaned the kitchen, then got to work baking.
It needed 3 eggs, I let the 3 youngers crack them. So, that made them all giddy and happy (odd what delights a child, isn't it?).

The house was beginning to get hot. We had the windows open all day long, because it was uncommonly cool (low 80s, high 70s). So I told Kyla and Shauna to go close the windows, I was going to turn the AC on.
The three littles were happily watching the mixer mix, so I figured, "What harm can happen to a kid with a mixer? Besides, its only on low".

Bad, bad, bad.

Kids can do a lot of things you never thought they would.

Like get their hair stuck. In a mixer. On medium speed. In Red velvet cake. Which resembles blood when still in batter mode.

I had gone across the house, and pressed just one button when the blood curling, i-am-being-killed screaming began.

I freaked out, (wouldn't you?), and ran back to the kitchen. Fully expecting a kid's tongue to be wrapped around the beater. Thankfully, that wasn't so, I didn't have to call 911.

Ruby/Bitsy had her long hair all wrapped up in the beater. Cake batter was in her hair, all 3 were screaming, and Titus was crying, "Blood! Blood!".
(I have to say, sorry, but I do not have a picture of that historic event in our life. I wish I did, though!☺).

I ordered Shauna and Kyla to remove Annaruth and Titus from the area, and tried to calm Bitsy down and work out a way to remove her hair from the beater at the same time.
She calmed down easily, and taking the hair out was a simple matter of just twisting the beater the other way than it turned before. {sinks into chair, relieved} I thought for sure I'd have to cut it out...which would have left her looking worse than Flynn did to Rapunzel's.

Shauna gave Bitsy a bath, thankfully, her head suffered no damage, and Titus still refuses to lick the batter of anything red. He insist it is blood..than begins crying. Poor traumatized baby!

What happened, was, in their gleeful mood, Bitsy leaned across the bowl to give her sister a kiss...you can guess the rest.

So, who says babysitting is boring?

P.S and yes, my parents still let me stay home and watch them. lol

I did laundry.

Loads of un fun. Really, does anyone relish folding stacks of pants, shirts, skirts, hanging up dresses and button ups? The one thing that is good about laundry, is the quiet, story planning I get from it. I'm just standing in place, why not let my mind take me far, far away? I think over difficult plots and characters, I ponder phrases from my characters. Plus, a huge up side to laundry, is clean clothes. A big plus.

I am missing my dear Camryn {Pronouced Cam-reen}. Thats what I decided to name my lovely camera. Why did it HAVE to break right now? I'm missing you already, dear Camera.

I sang the fireflies song by Owl City. Beautifully weird. I love it.

I finished this book. Rock your world theology. I know, you're thinking, "Ugh, a boring book". I don't think Joshua Harris could write a boring book if he tried. Point made. Review coming up soon on my review blog.

Saw my little Brother go crazy over 95 Hot wheels his loving big bros bought him. Then remembered, how when I was younger, I would play with Hot wheels before Baby dolls. You can't blame me! I had 2 brothers really close in age. Who would be the most likely to give in, them to Baby dolls, or me to cars? I like Cars anyway. BumbleBee is awesome. Transformers...Wow.
Oh, and you heard that right. Titus became the lucky owner of 95 hot wheels. 95. 95....

I am longing for it. The cold snap of air, the chilly frost. The little steam cloud that my breath makes when I breath outside. I am longing for winter. That isn't big, since I start wishing for winter the first day of summer. I ~~hate~~ can hardly stand summer. Ugh. I used to say I was moving to Alaska...I've shifted to Ireland.

I wish it would snow in Florida. :-(.

I leave my jackets hanging in my closet all Summer and Spring, waiting. I love their smell, their looks, their everything.

Winter. How I love thee.
Summer, it is time to give away to Fall.
Fall, hurry up and do your thing.
Spring, I'm not going to think of you yet.

Sadly, for us Floridians, Winter doesn't come until, like, October. I have a while to wait.

Deanna Troi. She is an awesome kinda different. Wouldn't it be incredible to sense/feel other people/aliens feelings? To know if they are telling the truth? Needless to say, Deanna might be my second favorite character. Data is the first. And isn't her hair pretty?

Worf. He is a Klingon, but for some reason, I always want to call him a klondike. *facepalm* He is NOT a candy bar, Ashley!

Geordi LaForge. Data's Best friend. And he is blind. When we first watched it, My brother Zeb asks, "Why is he wearing a car filter on his head?". Uh, thats not a car filter. Or, at least, its not supposed to be.
His eyes are creepy when he takes off his 'car filter' that helps him see. White and misty. Odd.

And back to Data!! I like Data. He is funny. His Actor is a good...uh, actor. :-D

So, what do I need to say now? Cuz I really aren't sorry. I'm not. Honestly. I am a star Wars lovin' Trekky. You will just have to deal with it. {Shrugs}.

I miss it already. How could it have happened? I had her by my side as she went black, her one eye saw no more. No longer did she see the beauty I pointed out to her capturing gaze. We plan on talking to the specialists about her come Monday...hopefully they can restore what she has lost.

My lovely, wonderful Camera dear.

I was taking pictures of an old car that was on the side of the road, when we got back to the van, she wouldn't turn on and her lens wouldn't retract. I changed the battery. No avail. A little beep came up, and her black screen showed the white letters telling me that I needed to restart my camera because there was a lens error. I tired that. Like 15 times. Nothing. MY $500 CAMERA IS BROKEN.

No. No, NO!

My lovely, what am I to do without you?

I shall have to use my Dad's $200 one this weekend. So sad.

I am hearing... Our Ac rattling. Or, more accurately,. rattling the wall behind my head. I've gotten used to it.

Around the house...Daddy is on his way home, my bedroom is actually clean....ish, Dinner is soon to be made, And Shiloh is doing great!!

Shiloh is home. Finally. She had her final Doctor's appointment today, and they say all is well, and we need to just keep her out in the sun a lot. {Dances}. I can't say thank-you enough! All the prayers, they just can't be replaced!

Bad news.

It's rising again. Daddy has come home for the night, to not only give the family we were staying with a break, but also let us have a bit of time with him. But, Mama called and it has moved up a little more then one whole point. Now it is at 15.9. Not good. They have put her back under the blue lights, and are debating giving her IVIG again. This is really wearing us out. It is like a roller coaster, and it is making me sick. :-( I just want Shiloh home, I want to kiss her tiny, bald head, and I'm missing SO SO many photo shoot times! My heart is just breaking for her little health. It is wearing me out.

See her poor IV line? They took it out tonight, and might just have to put another one back in. See her little mask pulled up over her head? It is to protect her eyes from the UV lights.

Poor girl. Just pray for us. Pray for her. Pray for the nurses and doctors to have wisdom to know what to do.

I just called my Dad, and he said that they wont be home tonight. The docs want to see her billy count come down without the blue lights they are putting her under, and so dar it isn't doing that.

Shiloh's billy count is at a 16 now...we're hopeing to get into single digits so they can come home today! Maybe if it gets to a 10-14 they'll let them. Also, can you keep Mama in your prayers, as this is starting to toll on her. She hasn't seen us since Tuesday, and the whole tension of it all is upsetting her. Thank you guys, I know I have an awesome followers on her!

I'd heard of making a poem using the first letters of a person's name to start a new line, and I figured I'd do it for my Angel Princess.

Noe for pictures of my Lady herself:

Isn't she the sweetest? Now we top out at 6 girls and 3 boys. Poor guys, they're kinda out numbered!

Yesterday, the day started out as usual. We had plans to go to Tallahassee, and were actually going to get belly pics (me as photographer) of Mama and the baby. We were gathering a few odd and end props when Mama started having some trouble, Long story short, Daddy rushed her to the ambulance station, since the hospital he wanted her at was a drive away. Later we asked Daddy how fast he drove, and his response was- well....maybe I'll not tell. But, anyway. Mama was being driven there and a friend picked all of us up. Before the friend got there, Me and my 3 younger sisters (the 4th couldn't yet understand what was happening) had a good bawl and pray party. Even my tough 13 YO brother was shaken up (now he is going to kill me if he finds out about this). Anyway, after spending a day with those WONDERFUL friends ({Wink} Joanna...Caleb may be excused from this compliment. He is weird. Just joking!), Mama and Daddy called, saying all was fine, it was just the beginning of labor. Well, they picked us up, and were headed home (Mama preferred having her Midwife, not the Dr's at the hospital to the 'duty' and we didn't quite know how soon, they had said it could be that night, or a week. It was rather early for her to be going into labor anyway). We weren't even home yet when Mama asked Daddy to call the midwife. She was sure it was about time. Us older 3 cleaned up, and got to waiting. Zeb (11 yo old) fell asleep right before the midwife and her trainee got there. Me, Evan and Shauna waited up. It is always special to hear that first baby cry, how mad it sounds. But sadly, I didn't get to hear this one. Mama said she didn't cry, just squeaked. It was before 12 PM when Mama was headed towards the ER, and Shiloh was born somewhere between 9:30 and 10 PM. My Little Lady girl. She sleeps and eats like a champ! And she is the most photogenic baby I have ever seen!

I think I have a cold coming on. My head feels light, I'm getting shivers, and my throat is scratchy. I'm taking Beta Carotene, in hopes of boosting my immune system...so far, no luck.

I actually think I'm more into this then my Motor-head bros are. Weird.

(The song was apparently written by a young soldier to his sweetheart. Two
of Bonnie Prince Charlies soldiers were captured in Carlisle after the
abortive rising of 1745. One wrote the song, the other was released and
took it back to Scotland to give to his colleagues sweetheart. The low road
refers to the soldiers impending death and the path of his spirit, whilst
the high road is either the sign of hope for which he sacrificed his life,
or the actual road back to Scotland over the high rugged hills.
Hence, his spirit would return via the low road and be back in Scotland
first.)
